The Parkour Partnership brings together the experience of two of the world’s most experienced Parkour entities. Quite simply it unites the world’s largest and most talented collective of Parkour talent with the producers of the film that first brought Parkour to the attention of a truly global audience. The two companies have worked together since 2006 and are able to offer a complete and professional ‘one stop shop’ for production and talent needs to advertisers, agencies and producers.
Carbon Media Limited Was set up in 2004 by Mike Christie and Mike Smith after the global success of their seminal Parkour film ‘Jump London’. Jump London went on to sell to over 65 countries and was one of the UK’s biggest TV exports of 2004. Carbon has subsequently become one of the UK’s most innovative and creative production companies. Its projects, including the Parkour sequel 'Jump Britain' and five-year, multi million pound Channel 4 arts series ‘Big Art’, have won multiple awards. It is now part owned by ITV Studios – one of Europe’s biggest production companies.
Parkour Generations Is the largest collective of parkour professionals in the world, including many of the founders and principal developers of the art from France and the UK. The Parkour Partnership offers only the most experienced and talented professional practitioners of parkour/freerunning in the world today and has provided performers for the highest profile displays of this dynamic art on the small or big screen, including hit films such as Babylon A.D. and St Trinians 2, and television commercials for Toyota, K-Swiss, Samsung and many more. Performing parkour on camera is a skill in itself, with the best results being produced by experienced professionals who know and can manage the many requirements and rigours of high-intensity shooting.

Choreographing parkour for the camera is very different from traditional stunt and action work, and there are still very few individuals capable of capturing the essence of the stunning movements and shaping them to fit a storyboard. With founding practitioners such as Yann Hnautra, Stephane Vigroux and Chau Belle who have over thirty years experience between them of choreographing for high-profile shoots for clients ranging from Nokia to Cirque du Soleil to the BBC, the Parkour Partnership can provide professional choreography for any eventuality.

Finding the right practitioner for the right role is an intricate process, and one that requires an experienced eye and in-depth knowledge of both the production and the performance elements of the industry. Parkour Generations has cast professionals for numerous professional film and TV shoots of every description, including commercial work in Asia, America, Africa and all across Europe, and has access to the most comprehensive community of on-screen parkour talent in the industry.

The art of filming Parkour is anything but straightforward. An understanding of the discipline is essential to get the best from the choreographer and talent, and production experience is essential to negotiate the production difficulties associated with any action filming, especially if filming at height. The Parkour Partnership works with a number of directors and producers who have a track record of delivering Parkour on-screen, including:
Mike Christie
Mike Christie was the writer and director of both seminal Parkour films ‘Jump London’ and ‘Jump Britain’ for Channel 4. Amongst nearly 50 broadcast credits for television, advertising and film, he also has a number of other Parkour credits including commercials for the North American phone giant Rogers (agency: Publicis) and the Middle Eastern confectionary giant Alpella (agency: Universal McCann).
Julie Angel
Globally regarded as parkour’s official film-maker, Julie’s work with Parkour Generations has seen her films regularly receiving over a million views on YouTube, leading her to become a featured content provider for the channel. Julie was responsible for the classic film Le Singe Est de Retour, an in-depth profile of French traceur Stephane Vigroux, licensed for the UK DVD retail release of Luc Besson´s District 13.
